I want to try the PIAA GT-X. But they're so expensive. Would love to see them in person. All I hear is good things, but I doubt they're that bright, right?

Hey bro, I'm thinking about getting a set of those because my month new silverstars just went out. Could you try and post pics of them? That'd be cool if you could so i can get an idea of what they look like.

9005 silverstars... it's real easy to convert to 9005 bulbs, just a little bit of shaving/cutting is necessary. Make sure you CLEAN THEM if you touch the glass at all. there's instructions included with the bulbs to tell you how to clean them.

the gtx's have a very slight tint of purple...i wanted them because i thought the purple would be similar to the s2000 purple but its way off. they lasted me about 8 good months, which is a long time for how i drive. on a regular night delivering pizza, i turn my headlights on and off at least 50 times. the light output is very very bright but maybe too bright, if me and another car are coming towards each other on an unlit road, 90% of the time, the other person would flash their brights at me. i've switched back to nokya blues for now since the gtx's cost around $100+ a pair, the nokya's are still working after about 5 months. i'm staying away from the silverstars b/c one bulb lasted for 5 minutes (i'm not kidding) and the other for 3 months. and for the lifetime warrantied eurodesigns bulbs, they lasted me for one month. i'm not going to even bother to try them again. if you want brightness and don't care about pissing everyone off, get the gtx's.

Nice. You deliver for Dominos too! And have a red 2 door!
I still can't believe that about the GTX's. How can they be that bright without being higher wattage? They are the HB 55=110 bulbs right? They don't come in 9005 65W only.

                      P.S. Your car doesn't look like it's dropped 2+"

yea, with the gtx's, you won't need extra driving lights. i might give them another try when i get some more dough. if you go to my website on cardomain, you'll definitely notice that my wheel gap was gigantic.

As far as output... I think the money spent on the PIAA's is well worth it...I like the old, discontinued Super Plasma GT's a little better than the Super Plasma GTX's just because of the color output but they are both the best bulbs I've seen yet (excluding the yellowstars) as far as both output and appearance...

BUT... that is contingent on how long they last... I have heard mixed results about their longevity...

In theory... any normal wattage bulb should last for quite awhile as long as you don't touch the glass part during the install...

I was pleasantly surprised by how bright they were... they are merely decent in the rain on wet pavement... but miles above cheap blue bulbs in wet weather...

If my PIAA's SP GT's blow in an unreasonable amount of time, i'm going to stick to optilux and hella...
