Also, you could just get the PnP upgrade kit (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=178) with the D2S minis and the philips 85122 bulbs for $220 with your choise of shrouds. The kit comes with D2S adapters for amp ballasts. So all you'll need after that it a DDM kit for around $40, depending on the retailer.

So for $260 you can get everything you need. That's what i did, minus the DDM kit since i already had an amp style HID kit.

its $175 if i get the PNP upgrade kit with Amp/D2S ballast adaptors, morimoto 3five 4300K D2S bulbs, morimoto mini bi-xenon D2S projectors, and the shrouds.

i can upgrade bulbs at a later time if i decide to.

then all i need is the HID kit like you said. so to DDMtuning i shall search

EDIT: do you think i need the error code eliminators? or is that not an issue for the CB7?

You will not need the error code eliminators. That is for fairly new cars that sense whether or not the low-beams shut off when the high-beams are activated. If that happens, you get a dash light...but we don't.

p.s. I HIGHLY recommend talking to Matt Kossoff of TRS. I beleive he's the CEO or something..(really young guy, but super cool). Get a conversation going with him and let him know what you're trying to do. I promise you he will do anything and everything he can to make it as easy as possible for you. I've also gotten free bulbs, shrouds and splitters, just for asking. So be friendly and try your luck.

Why not put HID's in your high beams? That way you can have really bright lights when you want them and normal lights when you don't need them.

just because i like the way the housing is shaped and at night without the highbeam on the headlight just looks like a square. so i have LED bulbs in the high beam spot that just go on with my low beams like its one light.

i switched the LEDs out to regular bulbs this last weekend so they would be functional because i knew i would need them on my trip to bodega bay. im so glad i did didnt get there till 1130pm the first night and those back roads were like outerspace. i freaked out my friend when i turned off my lights while still driving for a few seconds. she was so mad. her sister in the car behind us was like where did you go!!!
