There is a guy around me that has a 300Z with a hid kid and it is not all that great. Just about anything I have seen is better than those. I wouldn't recommend wasting time with them especially when there are so many other choices out there."This is a jaded bunch. To gain notice, you have to challenge conventional wisdom, test assumptions, and ignore the naysayers."

For those who might be curious, TL lights:
If you're going to retrofit/transplant projectors, then get ones that are designed with HID in mind. Halogen projectors will not provide the clear cut-off that many are looking for, nor will it provide sufficient width and light dispersion on the ground. This is because they were designed for the lumen output of halogen bulbs.Once upon a time I took a joyride in a Huayra...

actually there is a company developing new projectors from old ones, they modify the FX projectors with a TSX-r (replica) lens and optimize it, to get results as the TLs but wayy better output and plus the fx are slightly smaller so people can fit them in their housings. They are also developing a S2K-Rprojectors but i havent seen the output, i heard they are amazing.
Honestly, if your ona budget, e46 projectors single xenon will work in our cars, but TLs are going to be damn hard to fit due to the solinoid.
Tsx does look really sharp though, and they fit!

I did an FX projector retro in my van (boosted to 55 watts), I love them and couldnt ask for anything more.
IMO the 300zx looks crappy and i think they change the lens to get a better pattern but why not just get some TSX.What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
Retro!

I love nooBs...They make me look good

but have a look yourself here is a modded tl projector with zkw lense vs a oem s2k
s2k on top, tl with zkw lense on bottom
you'll notice the s2k is wider then tl which is bi-xenon, othen then that the tl looks more colourful since it is using a zkw lense
turly bi-xenon is a waste of time since you can find single xenon projectors that can do a job just as good if not even better...
