I appreciate your help, but I need more than one persons opinion before I spend $100 on headlights

Then you shouldnt buy anything lol.
Dude. They look fine. they perform fine. Not better or worse than stock.
Get them if that is what you want. with the proper HID setup they will look great.

That doesn't make any sense.. why shouldn't I buy anything? ..because I want to know how the light output is from those who own them.. or because I don't want to spend $100+ on something without knowing how well it performs?

Unless you've owned them or have seen them first hand with both stock 9006 bulbs and good quality HID bulbs, you can't say 'they look fine, they perform fine, not better or worse than stock'. I'm speaking in general here, as in, this applies to everybody.

If only a couple of people have used/owned/seen them and 1 of the two people claims they're great, while the other shows pictures of the projectors with obvious hot spots everywhere, I think I'll pass.

If anyone has more night shots of these lights in action with 9006 halogens, and/or 9006 xenons.. I'd still be grateful if you shared them

On another note; I didn't ask for answers like 'do a proper retro' or 'my buddy has them and they suckzors'... I want to hear from people with real experience, because they're the only ones who can honestly say how these projectors work.

...no im just wondering why u are going from a proper retrofit to a ghetto looking projector

im just saying that if u know and done ur research and actually done the a4 retro i dont understand why u are downgrading.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

          Retro!

my opinion, you should swap out those Audi projectors for the TSX projectors, you'll have TONS more space in the back and the cutoff and light output are one of the best. Only Lexus LS430 and S2K projectors can beat it.

I paid about 80 bucks for a pair of TSX headlights w/ projectors back in Dec. from a guy on Ebay. After I took the projectors out of the housings, i sold the housings locally for 65 bucks. So If you can find that guy on Ebay, I'd highly suggest buying from him.

            but here's some output pics:

Somehow, I missed mak, that you already have A4 Projectors....
And I have seen them first hand. I wouldnt have posted if I didnt have pertinent info to your query. So if you want the advice than take it....Jesus.

I think that Loisracer is correct. TSX projectors are FTW. and you have already got the ebay setup beat becuase you have the OEM quality output...What you are thinking of doing is a massive fail.

No, because I was saying that u shouldn't be dependent on an opinionated internet forum for your car modification choices... It was also a joke.
                Hence the LOL>

Those have very nice cutoffs, and are very bright.. but there's nothing wrong with my projectors. They have nice cutoffs and are very bright as well

Rear clearance isn't an issue. Some people got it into their heads (multiple people had doubts when I was mounting the projectors) that there isn't room to change the bulbs on my lights, but I've done it twice already (swapped to 8000k, then back to 6000k) without removing the lenses or anything from in the engine compartment.

In case you didn't get a chance to see my thread on the retro - my projectors are mounted outside of the housings, not inside like the TSX projectors.. which is why they sit so deep.. but there's no other way to do it short of cutting the projector housings up, since the projectors are so big.

Anyways, thanks for the images.. I've always liked your headlights.. but I won't be moving over to TSX projectors.

PS: People have been asking why I wanted the ebay lights - it's because nobody seems to have them, and I need money, so selling my retrofitted A4's and buying those ebay lights would leave me with some extra money for my up-and-coming-wedding reception.

haha once i went with a retro, there was no turning back.

get some jdm headlights and put hids in there...now that would be sick.
