F20A DOHC for 300 bux

well yes and no. Downfall is that it was at osaka motors in canada. I have heard alot of bad things about them so I figured screw it im only a few hours away, Im gonna go investigate. I had spoke with someone form there a week or so ago and he quoted me 550 for the motor only. Still not bad I would say. I get up there and he quotes me 300. I was excited about all the JDM shit around me, mugen power loop muffler, type r stuff, etc. But then there was tons of oil and things were very disorganized. I asked for a set of struts for my car and he pointed to a corner with maybe 300+ stuts. Im thinking hmmmmmmmmmm well what the hell am I buying civic, teg, lude, parts? Found a set of teins, 450 for the complete setup, not bad I guess. They had 5 or so f20a DOHC motors up there, for 300 a pc. some had ac, some were missing parts and the most disapointing thing I saw was a busted IAB hanging off the botom of the intake mani. What would you guys do if you were in my shoes? Worth the trip back for one for 300 bux, or still stay away. Thanks for the info

I think that you can answer that question better than anyone. Since you were at the warehouse you can see their packaging procedures and etc. Personally, I think that the pricing is a little shady so i would not go with it. Who knocks off 200 dollars because you show up???

They are cheap for a reason dont even bother going to look there even if you do find a motor its like a bitch with a disease you never will know whats on the inside until you open her up and by then it will be too late youll be fucked with no cure.

well, what exactly are all these bad things about osaka? everyone says they've heard "horror stories" and shit. have they actually heard/witnessed them, or have they just been told there are apparent horror stories and then just tell others there are horror stories? and yes, osaka will knock of a lot of cash off stuff if you show up. like they have 96 itr mags for 550US on the site, i called and they told me 450 CAD tax in cash. if you're local, drop by and pay cash, you get hooked up better than buying online. i may get my h22 there. at least if i have problems, i'm only 20 minutes away. also my neighbor works at japanmotorimport also a pretty big importer.
