Very true mike, it will hold with out the bracket, i think the bracket is there just to make it more sturdy.

i'm still trying to figure out the relay business mike. there are more wires than i thought but for the most part, all you really need are constant power, ground, and power when the lights are on. i'll keep you updated!

is there a templet on the backside of the bumper that tells you where to put it?

if it is a jdm part, would'nt it be on the wrong side for the a driver in the US?

people seem to love jdm stuff, but they aren't doing the biggest jdm convo of all. right hand drive. later.

kid262: my pole switch only has two wires to it and it goes directly to the relay. i dunno about your switch. you might have the up/down button from an EK.

TypeG: no template under the bumper. yeah i recommend to put the pole on the opposite side of the driver (DUH!) so it can actually be helpful rather than just be "jdm". RHD convos are not common at all but they are doable. i believe there is a shop in florida that specializes in them. i personally would not ruin the integrity of a car's chassis just to have a different driving position and to be unique. there are other ways to do that. my $0.02.

I can only guess it was for the tight streets and parking they have?

Also , can anyone post pics of the pole up and down?

                  THANKS! this is interesting
yeah i think ur exactly right, when i was going to buy buy one it was under the name "parking assitant".... well here's a pic of the JDM bumper with it, however it doesnt show it when its up, and the picture is not of my bumper!
                  (sorry for low quality)

here it is on kurobei's ride on the passenger side. be it LHD or RHD, it should be on the opposite side of the driver.

                      Good Question....

I think it should be on the oposite side of the driver.
Like that you'll know if you're close to the curb or not, makes sense...

Ooh, I didn't realize its really like a mini-powered antenna, same type of nut and insulator. And yes unless you're going RHD, it should be on the passenger side.

yes they are pretty much the same besides the button function and the mast mounting. our accords just have an on/off button while civics and others have an actual up/down switch (pictured above). the mast mounts differ from car to car b/c bumper covers differ from car to car (DUH!) but they should fit with minimal modding.
