    90/91 USDM Armrest mounting holes

    Installing....

I remove the ebrake console, pull aside the carpet a little bit and try look for the mounting holes for the armrest.... and I can't find them.

Here's my question: Do all 90/91s comes with the holes pre-drilled or did some not come with them?

I did a little searching and found a thread where a member installed one in his cb, and the holes where already there (91LX). Am i maybe looking in the wrong place (right below the end of the ebrake console)?. I have a 90LX coupe.

Here's a pic of the armrest (just received from HondaGuy1212, pic taken from his FS thread).

        Great. Thanks for the response.

So did you pull back the entire section of carpet over that area to install it? What's the easiest way to get this done?

where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

gdout, you have the exact same year and trim as mine.... looks like I'll have to do some drilling then.

                Thanks guys

Were the holes only pre-drilled on '91s? Seems odd Honda wouldn't have done this for the OEM armrest accessory to start the CB7 model in '90.

mine had the holes in my 91 ex 4 door and i got my armrest from a 91 2 door. pull the carpet back from the rear ashtray and look down there pretty far down there so you gotta pull the carpet back good, I just took an exacto and cut my carpet and fit it in there then tucked my carpet back into the armrest.

from what i understand the 90-91's with manual lumbar support do not have the predrilled mounting holes.....(they have the adjustment knob on the side of the seat thats near the middle of the car, right above where the arm rest sits.)

I know the 9293s didnt get the armrest, but one can be put into a 9293.

I still cant get beyond that. The e-brake for the 9293s is mounted off to the side, while the 9091s is in the middle. Can you, literally, re-locate the e-brake in the 9293s to the middle?

JARHEAD, how hard was that and just how much fabbing had to be done?

can someone take a side picture of where i should drill the holes? when i comes to something like this i don't want to fudge anything up.

everytime i find a picture of someone's interior, it's always a birds eye view...

the 9293 DXs had a center mount e brake, and the holes are there to mount it in either location
