I recently picked up a Broadway mirror for my car. I figure I'll give it a quick review.
Brand: Napolex
Size: 270 mm
Shape: Convex
Tint/Color: Blue
Price: $15.00 Shipped on Ebay.
I'll provide the actual picture of it installed in my car in the future.
PROS:
- Blue tint makes glare non-existant. Very nice when you're behind a truck with its highbeams on. You see the lights in the mirror, but they hardly reflect. It's nice because you can still see behind you in low light conditions, which you can't with the Night feature on our stock mirrors.
- Blind spots greatly eliminated. I can see out of my back door side glass on the highway.
- Excellent clarity
- Convex enhances viewing angle and allows me to see more of the car
CONS:
- Disables the Day/Night mirror feature...so you will have to see the headlight dots at night. However, this is bearable with no glare.
- Convex mirror is a bit hard to get used to at first. Everything is closer than it appears in the mirror, so your perspective is slightly off to start. I got used to it after an hour
- Clip on installation isn't the cleanest, but that should be expected in a universal fit product.
Verdict:
Overall, I'm very pleased with this part. After driving on the highway with it, I felt a lot more secure about my blind spots, especially since currently I only have one side view mirror. It looks nice in the interior as well. It is definitely function over form, but well worth the money.
