Hi, I was wondering what kind of bulbs I would get if I wanted to brighten up the gauge cluster alot more. The stock bulbs are kinda dim at night.

those led bulbs really don't do jack.
If you want REAL bright...like indiglo bright, get the larger size wedge bulbs....I don't quite remember what number they are, but they are about twice as wide as the 194's and are also wedge. It'll be a VERY TIGHT squeeze into the sockets but they will fit and stay put.I put three of those in my 93 and the output is incredible....just be warned through that if you do not dim them a bit then it slightly (very slightly) warps the plastic bezel next to the speedometer cluster, barely noticable...but that shouldn't be a problem if you get an aluminum one and them paint it black. Does not affect or break the actual gauges themselves. I have several pics of just how bright my cluster is on my computer I'll post them up later

I have the dim switch set to the max setting. I can see the tach and speedo fine but it's alot dimmer than the 6th gen Accord I'm used to driving. Please do post those pics of your cluster.Last edited by SoapyToast; 08-10-2005, 02:14 AM.

Have you checked/replaced the bulbs in your cluster already? I just changed mine since 2-3 of them were dying & they made a big difference (being that these are 12+ yr. old bulbs. After all, how often does anyone changes these things?!).
BTW, search first if you haven't already. I've seen a lot of threads on this already, one good one by cpmike:

Hope that helps.
BTW, there are also 2 tiny additional wedge bulbs on the top of the cluster that light up the front display only (the other 5 in the rear "back-light" everything if that makes sense - bad grammar). I've seen cpmike change those to blue LEDs & it looksLast edited by cyclonus_cb7; 09-27-2005, 12:38 AM.

Yeah get rid of those gross stock bulbs. You can either just illuminate the faces with the 2 on the top or replace the ones behind. But like someone said there's a blue-green filter under everything so most colors won't come through as intended. I'd like to see someone with green LEDs and no top bulbs. I think that would come out fine. Check out my members ride thread for pics of my red display.Metal Metal and more Metal!!!
