92/93 gauge cluster work in 90/91?

I have a manual transmission gauge cluster from my wrecked 1993 Accord and I was wondering if it will work in my 1991 Accord. The cluster is from an LX so it did have an airbag but did not have ABS. Is there anything I will need to modify or change?

no it wont work.l i tried this back in the day with a 92 lx cluster. for some reason the connectors are different on the top. they differ ever so slightly and wont plug in unfortunately. im not sure if trim levels are different. for example

      92 ex>91 ex
      93 lx > 90 lx

      not sure on that.

If they are manufactured by the same manufacturer, ie NS or ND, then you can swap the gauges.

I was going to say, I have the cluster in right now. No spark plugs in the engine yet, gaping them right now. Will install them and see if the cluster works. So far with the key on ACC the lights come on.

          EDIT... everything plugged in ok.

Ok so I have a problem. Cruise control light is always on. When I turn my left turn signal on my emergency flashers come on. When I turn my right turn signal on my high beams flash...

Below are my auto and my manual gauge clusters.

I just now noticed you said "gauges"... Just to be sure would you clarify? Gauges meaning swap gauges out in the cluster or swap the gauge clusters? I guess since it doesn't work properly I should assume you meant swap the gauges.

I know you have been messing around with your cluster for several years. I don't remember why honestly but what am I in for as for swapping gauges? I assume taking the automatic gear selector/fuel/water temp gauge out and replacing it with the 5 speed unit...

I have not taken either apart yet due to not knowing what I'm in for. I don't want to screw up two good clusters and have to mess around with them for years like you have had too.

Swap out the faulty gauge, but be VERY careful tightening the screws on the back of the gauge. It's super easy to over tighten them. They don't require much effort at all.

I got the gauge swapped. Thank you for the help.

I don't think I over tightened them. How would I know if I did?

The gauge would malfunction, or not work at all.

Tested it and it appears to work correctly. Thank you again.

Gave it the real test today. Drove it about 5 miles as you can see. Works flawlessly and no more annoying red [P] light.
