Do 5th gen e-brake & shift consoles, fit in cb?

I've been looking at the 5th gen console alot, and I like it, and would love it because it has a armrest compartment. Also if I get newer Accord seats, which I plan to, I would lose my armrest, which wouldn't be good.

    Any ideas?

I can't really see if its integrated with the radio trim, but if its split like ours, it would be possible.

      CD6 interior...

Nope, I made an attempt and tried this already when I saw a junked cb7 and cd6 at my local junkyard. The center console from the 5thgen sits a little higher up and it's a little wider.. Modification of the e-brake plate holes for the e-brake to sit closer to the drivers seat will also be needed. The 4th gen shifter assembly will not fit in the shape of the 5th gen console hole and u cannot just simply change the face shifter face plate (automatic cars) only. A solution to this would maybe be taking the whole shifter assembly from the 5th and swapping it over the 4th.

The next time when I have free time, I going to attempt to pull out the whole entire dash from a 5th and try fitting it inside a 4th gen. The shape looks almost alike! Then maybe it will be possible to swap the whole center console too. The front part of the center console becomes part of the dash so swapping the dash might solve the difference in height issues on the center console. There has to be some parts that will bolt on between accord cb and cd chassis! Why can civic and integras change their dash and interiors so easily.....

Sorta off topic but I mentioned in another thread, the CD6 cluster almost fits our cars. The only things that will have to be modifed will be the bottom portion of our dash (foam gets in the way) and the guage cluster shrowd. 2/3 plugs bolt in except for the plug that sits under the RPM guage....however I found out a 90-91 plug fits in that socket. As far as firing it up, im pretty sure maybe soem pins have to be swapped around...but it fits!
I need a custom turbo manifold built....

civics and integras can change their dash and interiors so easily because they are the same chassis.

the dash of the cd to cb would be hard for a number of reasons you already mentioned, but one that was not mentioned was the location of the air vents, nor the location of the temperature control. and i suppose the passenger side air bag present in the cd, but not all on cbs may present a problem as well (as far as "pulling" the cd dash out).

absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Word, all I want is the cluster, or the console.
