RSX seats finally done in 93 LE

Took me a while to get these seats in officially, lots of work had to be done but worth every min. These seats really do make the car look good. [/IMG] [IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

I cut the rails off the RSX seats completley to the point where it was just basicly the original L bracket that came with the seat. I then completly stripped down the CB's rails down to bare rails, no brackets or anything. The RSX seats sit way higher than the CB's so I had to cut off the original mounting brackets of the CB's rails and weld in new brackets that I made with some flat 3/8" steel. I then had to weld two more brackets to the rails that lessened the width of the rails as the RSX seats are not as wide as the original CB's. Weld it all in place and bolt all four bolts in.

you do kno all u had to do was cut the mounting points on the rsx seats and move them over a little and re weld them there right....

Many different routes to the same goal I guess. I still dont see how that option you stated would work so eaisly but I cant remember how the RSX rails looked. As far as I can remember the rails were completly different from the CB's. Anyway its too late for anything else, the main point is that the seats are finally in.

Its all good man, I just thought I would post some pics of the mod because when I was looking for some good ideas I desperatly wanted to see them in the car first. Just trying to help the person in line. And thanks for the compliment, the seats are way nicer than the stocks, but then again I guess anything else is.

What year were the seats you installed, these are out of a 05 RSX, they also have the height adjustment and lumbar support. That might be all the difference in the world for mounting issues.
