Removable Steering Wheels

i believe someone tried to break into my car the other night so since im about to drop like 1500 in this car with my tax return i thought of some peace of mind with a removable racing wheel. never done this before so any suggestions to point me in the right direction to look for? what fits our cars? whats a good reliable brand? i dont need any jdm uber rare diamond encrusted leather wrapped bs.

YOu could always go with a quick release of eBay but you don't want to go cheap on something like that. Your best bet is NRG quick release it's about a hundre for the hub and another hundre for the quick release. Some site will offer packages. But in my opion that's the best way to go.

ok cool deal guys i found a stealth nrg pack on inlinefour.com that has hub hub adaptor and lock for 312 and will any steering wheel fit that. im looking at a personal brand race wheel just want to make sure there isnt any crazy bolt patterns

Only steering wheels that will not fit will be Grant style 5 bolt steering wheels, everything else will fit. (i.e. momo, nardi, sparco)

Go with the short hub adapter from NRG innovations. It doesn't stick out far but mine was rubbing on the plastic trim so I had to cut some of it away.

i dont like alarms everytime i hear one im like oh some dumbass forgot he had his set. besides its just an expensive noisemaker they can still take it if they want it at least the removable steering wheel is a huge curve ball lol

It's less likely to get your car stolen but if you happen to go somewhere and leave your car in a parking lot it's one more thing to get stolen along with your stereo. I would like to see a steering wheel that has a lockable quick release otherwise you have to walk around with it everywhere you go lol.

It would really suck to walk out of a store and see your window busted and your steering wheel gone. Hasn't happened to me yet but I always wonder hmmmmmmm.

or you could leave it in the car out of sight (hide it). especially the smaller 320mm ones.

I say get a kill switch instead of an alarm, as added protection, along with your steering wheel
