I think as long as its a brand name or even a decently priced one, fitment should be good. Id make sure they have some kind of return policy so that way the first day you get it, try it on and if it dont fit--return it.

That'd be interesting...any particular reason why? I bet you could go to a metal yard or something like that and have one fabbed or put together??? Might cost ya an arm and a leg though

o0o Yeah....i forgot...that might not be a good idea--for him OR anybody else, lol. He'd polish the crap out of it and blind everyone with it when he drove down the street Much love though

yeah, i'd think about polishing it. it has other characteristics that make it desirable, it's lightweight, doesn't rust, disapates heat well, and you could polish it, LOL. later.

any wax or polish that is safe for clearcoat finishes, which most of them are nowadays. i'd recommend mothers show wax, meguiars gold class yellow wax, or dupont's teflon wax.

a good wax to use on carbon fiber would be mother's cleaner wax.

it's a two in one polish/wax and works well on gel coats.

the finish on a CF hood is a bit different from the paint on a car and needs a bit more maitenance. the polishers in the cleaner wax are fine, so you don't have to worry about wearing away the finish.

i'd probably put a coat of wax on it on every 8-10 weeks and claybar it twice a year inbetween. later.

Yeah I am in the middle of looking for the right hood as well. I like oem however I was wanting to get one with a small vent. Mine with has one and he polishes it to make sure it won't fade and man it looks nice. I think his is a VIS and when we installed it to make sure it fit, it was perfect fit "Like a glove" LOL.
