Who knows? That looks like a cheap ass primer job but it may turn out nice.

As far as the shaving goes, we'll see down the road how long it takes the outlines to appear. Hopefully they won't.. but you never know.

Be sure to post pics when completed.

looks pretty good man, you got a little "color soak" on your drivers side door handle, where its been shaved and filled, you can see where the paint looks like its soaked in a little, this is probably due to copious use of filler, a good way to remedy that is to get a small can of 3M Metal Glaze, mixes just like filler, swipe one time over that area and then sand and paint, should turn out better. also looks like you might crack in a few monthes on the upper left side of the trunk. just my opinion of what i can see, i dunno, a picture is kinda hard to judge though. looks good, keep it up

.. and once all the paint is laid out and what not you'll see darker shadows in the paint since you're doing different thicknesses of layers in certain areas.

Did you use BONDO for the final coat over your shaved handles and stuff? I only ask because typically it shrinks a bit, but DURAGLASS will not and it's waterproof.

Allmetal is the best stuff to use for shave jobs after welding and all the fun grinding. It doesn't shrink and puts a better seal over the weld lines and seams so no outlines show later down the road. The first time my handles and moldings were shaved, you could see the outlines in the sun about a year later coz it was duraglass & bondo on top of the metal.

Second time I had my car done, allmetal was used and 2.5 years later after sitting in sunlight every day.. no trace of an outline.

well, the color choice had something to do with that too adam. honestly its easiest to hide body work on a white car. blue is horrendous. black is almost worst.

except i know adam had top dollar shit so his body work was damn near perfect anyways. just something to consider before settling with the red.

youre gonna show imperfections in body work pretty easily with Burnt Orange. just so you know. pretty much any color on the bright to dark scale of the spectrum will show. only colors that will hide are light and neutral colors like white. Just make sure you're door handles are done right or they will crack.
