    mugen lip vs type-r lip??

Ok, so now that ive been looking online at everyones mugen lips/and type-r lips....i have a few questions and a doubt. My doubt is that ill order a mugen style abs plastic front lip mount it up...and have like 2 inches of front ground clearance!! NOT good for speed bumps debris that cant be missed when driving. Can anyone give me the top to bottom dimensions of these lips before i oreder them?? Like how thick are these things? is it gonna add 4 inches to the bottom of my lipless accord? Anyone run into problems driving over parking lot speed bumps and what not?? i want one oh so bad...but with my 2.5/2.25 drop i dont know if i will have clearance enough for daily driving!! ideas? thoughts?? is the type-r lip smaller in length than the mugen?

with ur drop ur gonna scrap with any lip...they are both the same size..approx 2 inches wide...on my opinion the type r lips looks best on civics only...

ive had both lips on my car the type r one is smaller you just have to be careful when your driving since you have to realize you have a lip on no matter the mugen gives you less ground clearance then the type r but not by a whole lot

any front lip, regardless of style, is going to be lower than the bumper.

people scrape with stock ex lips. so, you're definitely going to scrape with a mugen style or type r lip (both about 2 inches in height)... it may not scrape on everything, but it will happen occassionally.

depending on what you hit, the speed at which you hit it, the lip may or may not break. there's always a chance of it breaking or cracking.

absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Iono, mine looks pretty sick. Check my members ride for more pics... I have a 2.5 inch drop and I have 3-4 inches of clearance. The roads around me are pretty smooth though, so plan accordingly.

yeah i realize that it will definately cut on clearance...so ur telling me that you all scrape on speed bumps around parking lots and what not lol.... the air ducts on the mugen lip...are they angled at the brake system???

i guess it all depends on how tall is the bump and steep the drive ways are... u can always do the diagonal approach..

where did you get that front lip? it looks carbon fiber? and is that a spoon or mugen style?

i like the mugen style looks better than type r(to plain)

I'm dropped on Neuspeed Race 2.25" Front drop... and I rarely do more than a little love scratch on any decent sixed dips... I avoid big ones like the plague...

Haven't scraped it on a speedbump... maybe because I avoid the speed mountains like the plague also... but med to minor ones are no sweat...

I only have about 2-3" clearance in the front though...

but adjust your driving style and it shouldn't be a problem...

I broke my first one and didn't even scratch the second for months...

Hey, I am not sure of any reputable sites, someone else will have to fill you in on that. However, I, and many others have bought through ebay. Check the sellers feedback first, I'd say only go with guys that are 95% or higher.
