Purchase a fiberlgassing kit from you local autoparts store and follow the directions. Good to see another R33 front owner.

Almost too low for that kit.....You'd better keep a set of the fiberglass repair kit handy..I can guarantee you that you will shatter that lower lip.

that's easy don't throw your bumper out... i had to completely cut the R33 front and fill in a 2 inch gap to get it to fit on our one accord

just make sure you fiberglass from the back and bondo on the front because fiberglass is impossible to sand... well it's a huge pain in the ass, anyway

and that low i can gaurantee you're gonna crack the lip -- and you will be limited to certain roads and parking lot entrances you can use unless you enjoy the sound of scraping fiberglass

...i don't want to write you a novel, but if you need more tips let me know

exactly why i don't have a fiberglass kit anymore.. but break away all the crunks that are hanging and glass over it with the matting like i said in the other thread. the jar will tell you how much resin to add and just glass over it.

my invader was horribly cracked, i fixed it with the matting then glassed over it with duraglass and you can't even tell it was crack. it actually looks like a veilside kit with the smoothness.

yeah and you NEED TO TAKE YOUR TIME... otherwise it's not worth it -- a cars final appearance is like 90% prep work -- doesn't matter how well you paint it

where u at btw? do you know anyone who can help you fix it?

I live in NY .... but i have some undependable hook ups--- ya know like the guys that say they'll help you, then turn their phone off for like days at a time. or the ones that are never home. anyway. I was gonna buy PPG paint from a carquest place, and pay for repair kit and give someone 150$ to do the work i want to do it myself, but i'm affraid i'll fuck it up. I heard that if i reinforce the lower lip with a piece of rebar or somthing it won't break it will only scrape. anyway ...... I don't want to break that part off and then recreate it b/c it's a little too curvey to do and i don't know if remaking that piece to the T is easy.

BTW it's only sitting on the car, it's not mounted. if it's mounted i think it will be an inch and a half high. maybe then i can rool over a soda can

i have people in the NYC area that can fix that for you. for about $200, it can be repaired and repainted. less of a hassle for you to run and buy paint and materials. you can reinforce the lower lip, but you're supposed to have all fiberglass bumpers reinforced so that it reduces vibration, and less stress on them. trust me, it can crack, rip, break, no matter how strong its reinforced. remember, its fiberglass. hit me up on the PM if ya need anymore help.
