is it utterly pointless to paint a carbon fiber hood? ive seen it done a couple of times ne opinions?

if u like the look of it dont paint it. obviously. but if u want just a lightweight hood and u dont care what it looks like then paint it.. y do u want to paint it? just to match ur car? or is it messed up or something?

Sure you can do it, but if you don't have a styled hood (invader) no one will really know what it is. I do not think there is enough of a weight savings to justify it. I mean basically its going to look stock, and I know that sometimes the Carbon hood doesn't fit perfectly, so that its going to look like an ill-fitting stock hood.
