    How to remove scratches from window glass??

    Hi all i just want to know if anyone has had some Luck removing scratches left from a crappy wiper blade???


    Its on my rear window on my Cb9 wagon.

    Windshield had the same scratches but got lucky and a little tree branch fell on it and crack it so i just got it replaced today thanks to my insurance


    Any one know????

    If anyone knows it would be TypeG good luck with getting them off.

      you can use some glass polishes. i used to use alot of caution and a dewalt buffer and medium grit compound to get light scratchs out but if you can feel it with your fingernail its not coming out. also get it too hot w/ a buffer and boom it cracks really loud!

        as mentioned, glass polish will work for some scratches.

        you want to stop often an check your work and make sure you are not making the glass wavey. later.

          Ok ill try the glass polish....

          Im just scared cause you cant find a rear hatch window for a CB9 for the end of the world..


          I may just have to deal with it......... Dam...

            btw I also have those scratches. I guess not many people change there rear wipers

                  Why are nervous about polishing the glass?? Most windows are around 3/16" thick. There's no way you're gonna polish through there any time soon!

                  With a rotary buffer, you have to be careful when polishing clear coat, considering it is only a certain amount of mils thick, and can easily be burned through....but a window. That is a whole different story.

                  I say, if is a very noticable deep scratch or a chip, you're screwed. Other than that, polish away.

                    where to get Cerium Oxide??? locally??

                    Also im scared to polish the window cause of heat of breaking the window. not polishing thru!
