really thinking about it good gosh man... with as much time as it takes to do this or a whole vehicle you could have learned the basics with spraying a gun and could probly do a solid color half way decent.. i would recomend dry spraying the clear and then if you planned on wet sanding and buffing anyways wou could do that..
if your patient enough for this u could buy a cheap gun with a cheap air tank and give it a shot.

but then again some people have a nack for it..

the first time i picked up the gun was the first time i painted my car white and black with blue pearl all over it. making it appear white and blue, looked awsome.. and only had 1 sag in the clear.. I didn't buff anything on it.. i think most people just need to get over the painting fear. and take your time.

A painters greatest enemy.! I had a problem for a month at the shop and tried to trace down the problem.. it ended up being my clothe detergent.

i was using the powder kind and switched it to the liquid and my problem stopped imidiately...

that might sound crazzy but fish eyes are a sign of a poor paint and body shop by all means and you have to try some extreme things to find the problem.
      Fish eyes do suck!!!

Deev, any updates on this at all?

Nothing yet. I went and bought more paint (my pan dried out) and the can was dry already! I need to return it for more... I've just been swamped with work and band stuff (mostly work... unfortunately!)

                  Really impressive deev.

I like it. Can't wait to see the finished product.

This makes me want to go buy a shit hood from the junk yard and give it a whirl.
                  3 CB's gone....
                  1 WK Overland....

Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

I need to get more paint still! I got one can that was dried when I opened it, and I haven't gone out to get more since! (Wal Mart is my source... not fun around the holidays! Too many fat ladies in moo-moos and spandex for my taste!)

I'm playing with the idea of creating a black glaze to go over it. I have this look in my head, and I'm wondering if it's possible... I'll give it a shot and see! It's really fun to do.

It's only not finished because I got lazy. I could do the whole car in a few days if I actually worked at it every day. So... I could do the whole car in a couple weeks.

                            Neat site!

No progress yet... but I just moved my band out of the basement and into my spare bedroom... so I have my basement back! I might get started on it again today.

Not yet. I'm going to get back on it as soon as I get some cash! I've been broke, and I can't justify the cost of the paint (yes... $3... but that's a meal!)
