    Ultimate engine bay/wire tuck sneak peak

    This is my rather extensive yet super original project.




    almost done sanding this side just need to finish backside of shock tower.
    went ahead and sprayed one cote of cleat to seal it.








    finally laid down last piece for passenger side


    got bored so i started polishing my block too


    cut and trimmed edges to fit fender propperly


    finished polishing my block woohoo!!! took 12 hrs.



    Got the drivers side carbon fiber laid down.


    passenger side done cleared wet sanded and 50% buffed


    Got my wiring harness connectors today!

    Final buffed and wax on passenger side

    Thats a real good idea!! however are you are going to make it so after you create the the carbon shell panel, are you going to make it so you can take it off just in case? Kinda reminds me of the 350z or new Toyotas with the plastic panels! Instead you'll have carbon panels hiding the vital engine parts! for originality.

    Oh also how much did that carbon cloth cost you?

      carbon is only like 40 bucks a yard but the best way to buy it is cut deals with people on ebay i got two giant pieces for 50 shipped and more coming. as far as removable... no way! it took a long time to prep using welding to seal all the holes underneith then fiberglass and bondo to shape it then sanding sanding sanding then carbon so it is super permanent!

                          good idea... but are you going to trim it up a little where its going to meet the fender? it looks nasty right there for the time being.... and also are you going to cover the whole bay? firewall and all? or just the passenger and driver fenderwells? dont forget to make you some holes for your strut bolts... you might want to redo the suppension or add a strut bar to it as well :P

                            All trimming etc will of course be taken care of! no way i would spend months doing this and leave the detail behind! The whole engine bay will be covered including firewall and rear cross member. firewall is going to be flat. just give me time. been working on it every day for at least two hours for months!
