Im not saying anyone sould do this but, i have a one piece cold air intake, idle and normal driving u can hear it but its not loud but when i floor it man its like a jet taking off. anyways i was doing like 120-130 screaming down the hwy. at like 2am and i got a funny feeling a cop was on his way to catch me (u know that feeling). so i waited until i got to a curve an slammed on the brakes. about 30-45 secs. a cop was visible. he slowed down but rolled on by. im sure the intake saved me because it sounds soooooo different.

umm, if you just have an intake, no other mods (ecu, gearing, more power), then you werent going 120-130. my 5spd's ecu fuel-cuts at 118. if a cop saw you doing that, he would have caught up to you quite quickly in his V8 Crown Vic and nabbed your ass.
anyway, like stated before, you cant confuse them. it's on your insurance card.

To the original poster...don't do anything illegal. Traffic Laws were made for a reason, not just for cops to be dicks like so many kids think.
Originally posted by MadSpleen85I don't know if you have ever recieved a ticket or not but, you usually have to sign the ticket when it is issued to you by the Officer. Signing that ticket is your confirmation that all of the information on the ticket is correct. The Officer could put you down as driving a Purple School bus backwards at 42 MPH in a 25 MPH school zone. If you sign that ticket you are saying that all of that is correct.. Later
It's just much less hassle to obey traffic laws.
