use the oven method. If not, get a heat gun and get a flathead screwdriver. You might want to use a sort of "shim" like a towel or cloth so you don't chip or scratch the headlight cover. now heat up the seal
one area at a time and start prying slowly. Patience is key.
I use the heat gun and a leather glove, Hold the headlight in your hand (the one with the glove, duhhh) and heat the headlamp all around the seam with the heat gun, use excessive heat, keep the gun moving so you aren't ever in one place on the light, keep it moving, heat that thing till the gray plastic of the headlight is actually starting to shine (gloss over) then just pry the glass away from the plastic.
You can use a screw driver as a wedge between the plastic and glasss however MAKE SURE the plastic is HOT as HELL and evenly heated or else you WILL brake the glass.
The JDM lights are easier to work with since the lens is plastic it is more flexible but the USDM with the glass lens wants to break at the slightest flex so you have to make sure the lamp is extremely hot to evenly melt that 10+ year old adhesive.
Ohh yeah and removing the metal clamps helps to, lol.
