removing chrome plating???

i should have took pics when i was first done with my grill but shortly after i installed the grill i was goin to work and some asshole dropped a big sheet of chicken wire on the high way and i hit it head on my car needs to be painted anyway but when i hit it there was no damage to the car but on the grill lol that fuckin suck so needless to say i need to rpaint the grill after i sand it back down
