Ok, so I just got hit when a kid at my school was backing up, and left his door open..his door scratched up my front bumper..it's that "lip" part that is a flat black...just below the headlights. Well, one appraisal said it would cost 500 bux to fix, by replacing the bumper. they also said it would cost about 1300-1600 to fix the rust. I also found out that my rear bumper is starting to crack up in the rear driver's corner..looks liek a cheap ass fix too. So, I gotta come up with some dough here..any ideas on where else I can take this stuff? The guy is gonna pay for the front bumper part, but I am still pissed. It's a lot of cash to fix all this shit. Anywhere cheaper? Should I just have him buy me the r33 body kit I like, or have him fix the front bumper? If I get the kit, then it replaces the bumper, and the rear bumper, but still..I LOVE the kit, but I also can appreciate the cars stock lines..I am in a buckle here..I want my baby fixed! Oh, and the hood..not fixable..guess it's a carbon fiber hood..

well, the issue for me is then getting it painted, i would put it on, but then curb clearance and shit. I am on 17's, and all the cars I have seen with kits on them are on 18 at minimum..

If you get the R33, then you still need to have your front bumper part it self. Your OEM bumper cover is the part that has to go. As long as it didn't hit you hard enough to bend your bumper support then you should be fine.

I would have him buy you the kit since he's the one that backed into you.. don't pay for it with money out of your pocket.

oh, he's paying for it alright. It's jsut what I wanna do..fix the stock kit ,and keep it stock, or go with the r33 kit..(I don't like the rear bumper) I gotta figure that out. I gotta remember, I still need to paint it, and worry about curbs and winter..arg..I REALLY hate this..on top of that, the rear bumper corner on the driver's side is totally comming apart! I think someone hit it ,and they did a REALLY shizzy job fixing it..arg!!! This is soo frusterating..

oh, if i got it..how much would it cost to get it all painted? It would sure help get rid of the ugly smashed rear corner I have seemed to aqquire, but some pussy ran off and didn't car ot tell..

get the body kit you want to have on your car if the guy is paying for it. this is kind of a no brainer man. and when it comes to paint, wouldn't he be paying for that as well? if not then, the paint would cost the same if you got a stock bumber, or if you got a aftermarket bumber. their paint is the same. i dont know price, but get the body kit you want.

ahh man ive had the same thing happen to me on my front bumper, and elderly lady hit me while i was park in the walmart parking lot, lol, yeah they said it was gonna cost me 500$ just to fix it from what they saw, and just replacing the whole bumper, painting it, with them getting a new bracket and making it all look stock again, i have a mojor grap between my bumper and my corner/lights, so yeah i got the money to fix it and all from her, which i appreciate, but i dont have time to get er fixed up, and im going to do the work my self, id say go to some place that sells bumpers n stuff for cheap, or hit up a junk yard..
