I need someon to teach me how to use a air comressor spray paint gun.

okay I have experience on using and painting cars with dupli color spray paint, now I graduated from that to a proffesional gravity fed gun . so heres are the things I know about them so pls. fill in the blanks on the things I dont know adn the do's and dont's. thanks fellas

cleaning the gun- thenk I know is to put some laquer or paint thinner in the paint reservoir then spray out all the acces paint in the system. do I need to take of the nozzle to clean?

what are the thing I need to remember and whatch out for on using one of these guns that I normally dont have to worry about a dispossable store bought sray paint?

after using the clear coat, is it still nesessary to buff/polish with a 1500 grit sand paper the clear coat or will the spray paint does it so fine that I shouldnt have to worry about it?

if theris anything else I need to remember to do with using this gun let me know. thanks fellas.

since mixed car paint is so expenisve, can I use water or some other type of paint to practice and get a hang of the thickness of the spray before I do my car? the gun I have is the one they have at walmart for $65 and not the cheap once, I do know that the really good once are over $100 but dont have that cash to cough up ya know.

    1. Always take APART the gun to clean after spraying out the thinner. Last thing you want are the ports to be cleaned you should know this if you have had "experience".

    2. Should be the same as any gravity feed. Painting process and all that.

    3. Its better to wet sand it down and then buff it out.

If its an HVLP gun its pretty easy to use doesnt take much.

aight thanks, I do know that wet sanding it is the proper way to do so. is their a certain psi I should regulate my air compressor or I should just worry on adjusting the knob on the gun?
