Alight well i have started a retrofit and though may as well provide some pictures along the way and see what happens.
^^^Headlight --> take out all bulbs and screws and such, and drain.
^^^ Bosch H7 Projectors i started with, that are 3" in diameter.
Now bake your headlights or just generally find a way to heat the glue. All I had was a toaster oven so i Baked it at 300ºF for aout 10-15min VVV
Now headlights are opened, once its heated you can pry with a screwdriving or something to wedge it open, be careful while doing this becuase its easy to chip the glass around the edge, don't rush it.
Now once all that was done i went to creating a shield for my Projectors. First I tried just using regular Aluminum tape used for ducting and it created flatspots where there were holes as u can see VVV
not the nicest thing, but while drinking some beers i thought of an idea. Why not use the round body of this can to my advantage so. Toying with this idea, i grab an empty coke can i had laying around just to expariment and it works nicely VVV
It worked out nicely so i took my 2 empty beer cans that i had washed before throwing in a corner and cut them out and everything and this is how they ended up. Oh, i did a double layer on the first one thinking it would be better but made no diff, thats why you can still see red.VVV
Now for the wiring though of it, since it used the H7 bulbs i would just find two of my old 9006 Bulbs and cut the tops off since i had some spares, Luckily i had both some GE, Osram, Philip ones. the GE here were the best becuase they had actual metal leads that came out so i could unleash the melting metal onto it...soon. VVV
