    Primer

Hey for those who do alot of body painting and such. Which is the best ecomoically priced Primer out there becuase i see so many of them i dunno which one to choose. I know that sandable primer is goood but after that im lost. I thought all Primers were the same...

What type of paint and such are you gonna be using? If you use a PPG system I would try to stay all PPG products or if your doing DuPont same thing. But thats my opinion.

PPG K200 yellow primer. i swear by it. Make sure you use PPG activator (i think its K201) Awesome to sand, great fill, dries quick, and nothing will rust thru ever. Plus its yellow which makes seeing yourlight spots super easy no matter what youre spraying over.

*side note* i would stay away from most of your typical Autozone/Pep Boys rattle can primers. Even the filler stuff is very thin and rattle can because of the propellant used in them causes poor adhesion and etching to most car finishes, not to mention rust WILL come thru most of these primers. Do it right the first time and save a headache.

im in auto body school i just started havent painted a car yet. (will be soon) i was talkin to a guy who has painted alot not a professional but knowledgeable, and he sed go with sherwin williams it fairly priced and its quality. i think he sed the kit would do my cb, plus id prolly have some left over and the kit comes with everything for a paint job u know a primer, base, and a clear. the kit was around 150 bux or sumtin like that. well just a thought.

HMmm its there someway i can make it so i spray on the primer and seal it?
