I have a carbon fiber hood and I was going to keep my car outside this winter (I live in Canada) but Iwas going to keep it covererd. I was wondering if the carbon fiber hood would crack if I kept my car outside this winter? I am planning on starting the car up every other day, but I'm wondering about the hood? Thanks

You do know that some entire cars bodies are built with carbon fiber...
Some more common cars have car parts made of CF...I cant think of any off the top of my head. I wanted to say the M3, but its not the standard M3, maybe the CSL or GTR. There is a GTI based vehicle with plenty of CF bodypanels on it too...I forget the exact name of that one too. I will look it up and get back to you tho. Simply put, CF doesnt even fully break when its involved in an accident. I remember that about my friend's accident with his Civic. So in closing, manufacturers trust its durability, so why shouldn't you?Last edited by KillerCam282; 11-27-2006, 02:32 AM.
