You can do the sand/polish but it's pretty matte looking and really needs to be a bit smoother to really get the finish you want. Sanding that clear you really chance it turning WHITE and looking pretty bad so I don't know if you want to do that. Props for trying something on your own
Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I think the reason why its so hazy is because of the quality of clearcoat I used. Just some off-brand auto clear stuff. A local guy told me that I could sand em down with like 1500 or 2000 grit, then use something called an abrasive, and then just polish them up. Do you think that would work? Or could I even just go straight to the polish?

Naw, I didn't want to paint over the reverse lights just to make sure people would still know if I was in reverse. Plus, I don't need cops hasseling me about not having any reverse lights. My buddy painted his civic's tails all red including the reverse lights, and he got pulled over twice already. It probbaly would look better if I did paint over them though.

-------OR------ Make another DIY out of it. Reset the reverse lights closer to the center. How would you clear the red part thou...? HMMM.... maybe mount reverse lights into the back bumper.

Either way, I agree they look better than they did.
It really is a labor of love making a neglected CB7 with "normal wear and tear" into something worth being proud of.
