    carbon fiber repair

    don't know how much luck i'm gonna have with this but i'm gonna attempt to repair this...then repaint it black. any tips/suggestions?

    Ya, repair from the backside with the appropriate epoxy, or fiberglass epoxy and some mat if you can. Then, sand down the exposed area (on the other side) with some fine sand paper and wipe the surface clean with paint prep/degreaser. Then, shoot some new clear coat over the carbon, try to blend with the existing clear.

    The nice dark color comes from the clear coat, this will work better than painting it black. You could also try a GOOGLE search, I usually find lots of useful tips just cruizing different pages.

      Well if your painting it then wetsand the clearcoat till smooth. Then get Bondo and fill in the holes. Sand again paint badda bing.
