I've searched and tried everything in the posts but my Vis Invader CF hood just won't latch...yes, it is for my car...if i remove the latch assembly, it sits right (duh...) but can hood pins be used, reliably, by themselves? any other ideas, besides taking it to a shop or selling it? thanks all.

Did you try to adjust the hood latch on the car? I mean the actual thing that holds down the hood. It needs to be realigned every time you remove or loosen the hood bolts. I think they sell locking hoodpins. -
I had the same problem sorta.. hood had a very very difficult time closing.. I think what AcclipseH23 said is where I'm leaning towards..

yeah, i adjusted it but still couldn't get the latching mechanism to lock like the oem hood did...i removed the whole mechanism and it was sitting right but not sure if that's gonna be good enough for hood pins alone...i do a bit of freeway driving so i gotta take that into consideration...thanks all.Comment
