    90-91 Hoods Differ From 92-93 ????

Yeah, I never noticed it before, but the hoods on the 90-91 and 92-93 are actually different. I haven't yet compared my 90 to my mom's 92, but my boss who I got my car from said he's positive they are different in the front part the way they slope down is apparently more accute than another year. And if you check Majestic Honda's site or any other Honda parts store, you'll see that they have different part numbers.

I never knew this because anyone that makes a carbon hood, like even the best, VIS only makes one hood for all 90-93's....so I'm guessing that a big pro company wouldn't make a fuck up like that, so it must mean that the differences are so slight that it has nothing to do with fitment, but could just be something insignificant like the curve at the front end.

So what I guess I'm asking is for all you people with carbon hoods, did you notice any fitment issues or does it really not matter at all?

Yes they are different. If you notice the headlights on 90-91 92-93 are completely different too.

hoods are the same, the difference in the headlights gives the appearance that they are different.

yeah, i knew the headlights and grilles were diff..so i wasn't sure if that had anything to do with the hook, because i know there would be issues with bumper fitment, and crossing between headlights and grilles, but i would imagine the top profile along the top of the grille and headlights would be the same.

        thanks

just my 2cents: I don't have a CF hood but my 92 hood got a ding in it and it wasn't OEM so instead of repairing it I found a 90-91 OEM hood and it was all "plug & play." There were no issues with it at all.

Of course, I noticed the front did not seem to close as well as the 92 aftermarket hood where it latches. But then again I noticed this new hood of mine had some body work on a small section of it too - so who knows

All in all, a very MINOR issue and overall fitment is fine. Sorry for the long rant.
