    M3 Mirrors

im about to get M3 mirrors but the place im gettin them at only have them for 90-93 4 dr accords

they have powered ones with a blue LED and manual with blue or amber LED's

whats the diff between a mirror for a sedan and one for a coupe? will the sedan M3's fit my coupe?
ALSO, will the powered ones connect right to the same harness or will new wiring be required? wiring doesnt bother me, i just wanna know.

i can get the manual's for $45 and the powered ones for $75. is this a good deal?

    thanks in advance

not sure if there actually is a difference between the side mirrors of the coupe and the sedan. i wouldn't see why there would be a difference at all, but if there is in fact a difference, it would be very slight.

i believe you'll have to splice the wires of the new mirrors to the existing ones of the car.

not sure if the price is great, but if you don't feel like you're getting ripped off, then i would suppose that the deal is ok.

      thanks man

sounds like im gonna lose some visibility but that dont matter much to me

i dunno, $50 for a pair of mirrors dont sound bad to me, of course i live in Virginia so if i get the blue ones i wouldn't be able to make it a turn signal , and i dont really want the amber ones

so im thinkin of gettin the blue ones then putting the led's on a switch for show...

      anybody else got any input?

naw, i dont like the stocks. too big imo, like, too flat or something, something just looks wierd to me

anyways, im gonna do it, i dont need to see that much, i dont really use my mirrors, i always look over my shoulder to see for myself, i dont trust the mirrors (blindspots and shit)

anyways, i want em for the looks, and you emphasized my point by sayin they look nice, which is what im goin for.

          anyone else got any input?

yea i didnt care about me seeing out of them when i first got them but after a while i couldnt see shit and it started pissing me off. but i like the stock ones better i think they flow with the car better than the M3 mirriors. but that my opinion if you like that go for it you can always change back. oh yea and they are a good price for them.

As far as I know, there is no difference between 2 and 4 door mirrors, but I could be wrong... Also the mirrors come in with a harness, but you still have to splice into the the the stock harness and the turn signals. And I would also agree that you cant see as well, but you'll get used to it and have no problems. I got mine for $120 (power w/ amber leds), so 75 is a good price.

i have the power m3 and i lilke them just fine...i dont have then with the led's but you will have to splice the new connectors to your car but thats it...cut 3 wires and then connect the new plug in and viola...visibililty is reduced but nothing a quick over the shoulder look wont fix...i like them

I know that when there is a 4door and 2 door option the miorrors will be different. Ther is a differetn slope to the door where the mirror mounts. I tried using 4 door mirrors on a 2 door once and they did not fit. Thios was on a civiv though but same principles apply usually. just my 2 cents

I have a pair you can have for cheap if you want them. They are power and were only used for like two days, then i got sick of them cus they aren't the color fo the car. Everythings fine with em and they're just taking up space so if u want them they're yours.

I Love my M3's, had them almost a year. You barely lose visability, and you can use same harness from original mirror, just cut it off and apply.

The quality of them aren't that good. They have horrible mold lines, but you can clean that up. But they deffinatley show they are pieced together. I had them and the glass fell out of one of them and I never could find a replacement.

Any good mirror is going to run arounr 200 and up. They make all the mirrors the same, for all cars, it's the bases that are different.
