wrong i know a way to get it quik and u'll see the cond of the sidemolding also..
i'm talking about spending a plane ticket to go to europe and go to a yard and pull these bad boys off if u should find a cb over there. and while ur there pull loads of them off bring to us and sell them so there a profit is made. that is the only way i can think of. besides that ur outta luck pretty much. unless Dutchaccord sells them.

i have an idea for euro-style thin trim. let me first say, i haven't tried this. i am not sure it will work, but this is the idea. take off your stock US trim pieces. attach them to a board (as if the board were the car door, haven't looked into how to do this). then, run them through a band saw to trim them down. sand them smoothe, then paint them with trim paint or color match.

i really think this is a possibility.

sounds like an ok idea until you realize that its wood you are putting onto a car that is out in the weather.

i think he meant to trim the stock plastic molding with a band saw to trim it down

                Aftermath of crash.

that does sound like a pretty good idea. Though, I'd bet that you would have to use bondo to cover things up. I havent ever looked, but my guess is that the side moldings are hollow in the middle.

How about an overseas call or email to a Honda dealership in UK to see if the parts are still in production

You do that- keep looking. Why don't you instead try befriending somebody overseas and see if they would be willing to do your dirtywork and pull the moldings from a salvage yard and ship them to you if you don't want to foot the bill for an overseas call or are too lazy to email a UK dealership.

Geeze, put forth a little effort instead of relying on everyone else to do what you want done.

hollow, huh.. well there goes that idea.

you could build your own model molding pieces out of wood, plaster, whatever you can work with. then make a mold of those pieces, and fill it with something like 3M Windo-weld urethane or similar. i've heard people use similar technique to replicate trim pieces for vintage cars restorations, when parts are no longer available.

i am considering customizing mine...maybe i can do at a body shop of some sort.
and just use double stick tape so i wouldnt have to worry about the clips.

I think it looks cooler to (shave) the molding out all together. Honda put those on there as bumpers so that old wemon in parking lots wouldnt bang up there doors! but these aint grocery getters any more so I say Fu@$ EM.
It wouldnt be hard to roll some light gadge steel to the exact body line then tack and grind and fill and sand and primer and sand and paint and sand and sand and sand and sand and sand,THEN WET SAND and CLEAR and sand WAIT it sounds easer to just fly to europe and find a junk yard and buy the flat moldings and put em on prolly less a head ake!
