anyone replace their stock antenna with something else?

My stocker is busted and makes that anoying takka-takka-takka-takka noise So, I was thinking I could try the s2000 antenna mod like I did on my old teg and I later did a roof mounted zendar antenna.

What sucks really is that I have a wagon and the location of the antenna is weird....so who knows! I was wondering if anyone had done anything cool.

the only thing i can say is go ahead and try it since no 1 has do it to a wagon. been done plenty of times to a coupe or sedan so if u do let us know how it goes

Well, I shaved the antenna already and I plan to do the roof mount slimline antenna as well just above the rear glass. It looks so much better than the gawdy stock antennas.

You guys, How can I change the motorized antenna to the s2k universal antenna, from pro-car-parts? I wanna change it up to this one, but how can I do that? Please helpe a fellow tuner out..

I got a tight antenna that is flush with the car, that way i dont have any shit protruding, =) i love it.

I have one of them short stubby rubber antennas lying around...have to install it someday...power antennas suck, especially thru a couple winters then they go bad. Anyone install one of these before? Any advice...just to help things along.

that's like the one i bought, but haven't installed. Do you remember how you did it? It has two wires coming off it, one with a fuse. I'm not about to slip the wire throughout the whole care to the headunit....there a simpler way, like splicing it? that work for ya?

P.S. I need ot update that site, as I got neons, and new rims, but they sent me fricken 2 4-lug and 2 5-lug wheels! So, I am getting the other 2 4-lug wheels next week ,and shipping those wheels back..

I've been looking at doing the S2000 antenna swap also since mine does the takka-takka-takka-takka noise too. I've heard they bolt right up. If anybody has done it, please post about it and pics would be nice. Also, where would one get one without going to the dealer and paying top dollar?

the question I have is..is it the fake stub version? or is this 8 dollar antenna the real thing?
