Getting the inner quarter is key. My body shop had to fab up a set of custom inner panels to repair my damage. I can't be certain how well they sealed up the gap between the inner and outer seam, but I coated it in oil shortly after I got it home from the shop to try and prevent any junk from getting into the seam.
