    Wagon bumper on sedan

So I've heard a rumor that a CB9 wagon bumper will fit on the front end of a CB7, and is a couple inches longer in the nose. Does anyone know if this is true or not? My goal is to get a bumper that doesn't have to be cut because of my turbo piping, and maybe, just maybe, have enough space to put fogs in. Has anyone tried/accomplished this? Anyone have any guidance? Thanks in advance ladies and gents...

I had a cb9 bumper on my 90 sedan. I had to re-locate the horns, other then that .. perfect fit ..
It's not 2" longer .. more like a half an inch .. I dunno, maybe someone else knows for-sure.

Well shoot, a whopping half an inch isn't gonna be room for fogs. Bugger! lol

Ayeah, it's only half inch and maybe a whole inch in the front... I'd say whatever that foam piece is in the sedan bumpers is your clearance cuz that's what I hada take out to get a sedan bumper on my wagon.

Re-locating the horns was the trick for me. My JDM fogs were just fine with the sedan.
Unless of course, you're going with an after-market fog set-up?

No, his clearance issues will arise with intercooler pipin behind the fog light mounting location.

            HomdaMikk:
First there are two types of bumpers for the wagon. There is the one that is specific to the '91 and then the one for the '92-'93. Each one sticks out a little bit in front compared to its respective coupe/sedan variant. However, the location that protrudes is the the area around the bumper support. The area below where the fog lights go is roughly at the same depth. So, pursuing this bumper for the sole purpose of having one that will give you more clearance to mount fog lights with intercooler piping is a lost cause. Besides, it's not that foggy in San Antonio.

Well shoot, that stinks, but is good to know at the same time. Thanks Jarrett. Yeah, not too foggy out here, I was just going for it for the cosmetics of it, thought it would look cool.

I love the 91 ex wagone bumper. Nose longer. Bumper lights r diff. The buper itself is unique 2 me.. if u click on my link drizzles sedan. Pages 10-12 I think ull see the buper on my coupe with legend 4dr lip. Didn't have a 2dr lip at the time. I'm on the hunt for a 91 ex bumper again. Plus I got the foggies. I have a spare 9091 reg bumper but I want that 91 ex with bumper lights.

i have the 91 wagon bumper on my coupe, with fully functional fogs, and i didn't have to relocate anything, it was a direct bolt on thing.

the bumper is completely flush with fenders and headlights

And that's what I'd love to do. But with my intercooler piping running directly beneath the bumper lights, I have absolutely zero clearance for fogs. Maybe one of these days, I'll replace the intercooler with a lower hose level and see if that gives me enough room. Maybe...

imo wagon bumpers should stay on wagons they dont look right on sedans and coupes. looks like the car is in catfish mode
