    Real mans tow hooks

Well I had some free time and I felt like doin some welding. I had some scrap steel save up and got to lookin at the stock tow points. My tow points are hard to get to and bent to hell so I beat them strait and brought them out pass the bumpers. Now they are much easier to use. I have used the rear for pullin my derby cars before so this will help a lot. I made these to be used and not just for looks but they do look good too so its a win/win. Here are the pics and a video.

The making of the front tow hooks.

The making of the rear tow hook. I will make the other side as soon as I get more welding wire.

    Heres the video

Well, at least now when you break down you won't have to reach 3" under your car.

              Looks good.

Of course, the stock hooks aren't for pulling your car. The purpose of those hooks is to be able to tie the car down on a flatbed. At least that's how I've seen them used in the past. You can't pull your car out of a ditch with those, and they're not meant for that.

Now these hooks... those will get a car out of a ditch!
