    Touch up Painting

So, I have this area on my bumper that is scratched and I would like to paint it. I was looking at this thread:

Granted this is a rust removal thread, it still includes details on how to paint an area of the bumper.

My question is in regards with the old clear coat matching the new clear coat. Is there going to be paint chipping where the two clear coats meet?

Best bet is just repaint the entire bumper. Get some paint mixed up at a body shop or body supply store and just prep and paint the whole bumper.

Example, which I just did yesterday:

Pretty damn close match for spray bomb.

I wanted to do that but I'm in my college dorms right now. And I don't really have anywhere to paint. That's why I wanted to do a rattle can touch up kind of thing.

Did you paint the bumper on the car or did you take it off to paint?
