JDM accord PAINT question HELP ME OUT!!!!!!!!!

OK so 80-90% of my car is JDM. I know this sounds corny and all but what all colors were exclussive to JDM accords? Whether it be CB1 CB3 or CB4 or CB9? I have my car primered and ready for paint in the spring but don't want to do just ANY color.

Also for any of you that would know (AHEM ADAM (rebels)) how much paint will it take for me to do the car in a 4 coat paint job?

4 coat paint job.. do you mean as in stages or you want 4 layers of paint?

if you put 4 layers of a single stage paint, you will basically lose the color you're looking for. i have tri-stage pearl paint, and i got a gallon of the base, gallon of clear, and a gallon of pearl from DuPont. i spent about $650 with a 25% discount so it's close to $800 in paint alone. i still have some left over for when we spray interior parts and extra stuff.. but 3 quarts will get the entire car (jambs, underside of trunk/hood, and the body of the car.

it depends on the color you want and the base primer you should use. we used a grey primer with a valushade #1 sealer which REALLY brings out my pearl in the sun. tell me what kind of color you're looking for (dark, light) and the actual color you want and i can further help you more.

I believe cobalt blue pearl and phantom grey pearl were only available on the JDM 2.0 Si's...

looking for a dark color and if i have to respray the base coat and primer I will do that. I can get 4 qts of any color honda paint for around 200-250 and that includes a 1/2 galloon of pearl. Let me know rebels I want to get a good job done on my car and I knew you could help me out.

Also let me know what sealer coat I need and I am looking more towards a gray base coat. for lightening reasons.

valushade #1 is a white sealer which brings out the color in a light paint more.. so if you're going with darker, you can get a darker sealer for the top primer coat.

it all depends on the paint and pearl ratio too.. for mine it was for 1/2 of pearl to the full of the paint. 3 stage paint is hard to do if you don't have year of experience, thats why it's always good to have the single stage paint for new painters.

id rather have the 3 stage because you can spray how ever much pearl you want.. but it's all your options. just be sure to give it at least 2 coats of primer and wetsand them so the paint comes out like a mirror.
