acetone used for taking clearcoat off rim

im just wondering if i can use acetone to take the clearcoat off my rims, i want to polish the rims

is it strong enough to take the clearcoat off?

if not where can i find som of that aircraft stripper that people use to take the clearcoat off when polishing there rims?
    thx

acetone will weaken it but it'll be a long process (I used it to get the clear off my I-ROC Z rims and not mess up the painted inlays), any stripper will do, aircraft is quicker but any autozone or murrays (sorry whatever the new name is) will carry either.

the aircraft cleaner/stripper is best in my opinion....it was strong enough to take off clearcoat but not too corrosive to the skin.
