Trailer idea

So driving back home last night, I spotted alot of cars pulling sleds on small trailers. Roof racks have been done to death, but I still wanna haul my bikes. I was thinking of building a small trailer that would be just as earth scrapingly low as my car, and be painted to match.

I started sketching to see if I like the idea even enough to start rendering anything. Heres a few sketches. What do you guys think?







The biggest thing holding me back is I don't know if I have any clearance for a hitch lol

Clearance wise should be an issue. My trailer hitch I had on my green sedan tucked up higher than the OEM muffler.

Get a cb rear clip from the rear wheels back and make a trailer!!!

For sure do it. I have a small trailer for my quad.... probably 1000 lbs total (trailer + quad) and it pulls great.

I was actually really suprised how well the cb handled it.

I saw this picture after doing my sketches. Basically like that, but colour matched frame, and the floor made of stained hardwood with 4 slots of bikes.

what kind of tow hitches are you guys using?

My car had a hitch ... I promise, you have room for one too.... ask anyone that saw my car, it was basically as low as they get.

There is an OEM hitch that you can use. I always keep my eyes open at the junk yard for one.
