    hey guys, battery relocation

i hope everyone on the forum is familiar with the 1992-1996 prelude engine bay or the da integra engine bay OR the cd5 engine bay. the battery in our cb's is horizontal in the left front corner and in the other models its vertical and the intake is to the left of the battery. is it possible to just move the cb battery to be vertical like the cd,da and prelude battery? i ask this because i have an intake that id like to run that i picked up off a cd5. thanks

you can take the tray out and relocate the tray . if your cables are long enough it will work. other than that it sounds like a little fabing will be all you have to do. good luck on it and it sounds do able man.

A man that keeps looking back can't see whats in front of him.

i think it'd be very close the radiator support if you do that, as in the horizontal position you can barely get a hand between the battery and the headlight bulb.

Just run the battery to the trunk, to be on the safe side

The only problem there is that battery gases leaking into your cab isn't safe.

I've relocated a small-size battery (using a Password:JDM Prelude battery relocation mount) to behind the bumper where the stock air box went. The risk there is that it's an Odyssey, which has a bad reputation for dealing with temp extremes either way.... and I have to keep a wrench in the glove box in case it needs a jump or charge... and since my car's sitting until about March, I can't vouch for its reliability. Need to look into remote terminals...

Relocating your battery to the trunk is probably 1 of the simplest mods you can do, especially if you have an amp hooked up in the trunk, the hard part is already done. And if you're worried about the fumes getting into the cabin, get a gel battery, Optima, Deka, Odyssey all make them, just to name a few.

Like others said, move the battery to the trunk. It's easy, and cleans
the bay up alot. Just make sure to go to a battery warehouse, and get
                the thickest battery cable available.

^ or if you have any heavy duty truck repair shops they should have it too for inverters and converters ect....

In the accord there are nice clips on the pass side in the floor molding that holds battery cable like it's oem, very nice, but like nice_deuce said a gel battery will work fine - as long as this is a non-stored car.... I store mine a lot and the gels never charges up after a long discharge.

nine_deuce i fn love that clip I laughed my ass off!!!!!
