What up guys? So i have had this problem since i purchased my car almost 4 years ago and with the rest finally fucking up its time to fix it. The chrome molding on my back window is all jacked. From the looks of it the clips have broken off with the majority of the clip still under the edge of the back window. So now the trim sticks up and whistles and bugs the hell out of me not to mention it looks like ass. Has anybody had to mess with this before and if so how did you fix it?

buy new clips for the chrome and possibly replace the chrome molding around the window.Adam - Retired OG member from '03

here is my pic from my leaky trunk DIY.
if the clips you are referring to are the 4 ones circled, they have two parts to it; male and female. they are colored green i believe. the female part is supposed to be imbedded into the seal of the rear window. the male part attaches to the trim itself. chances are that the male clip(s) fell off. you can purchase them at the dealership, but they will give you both male and female together as a set. sometime the male portion is still inside the female. simply use a screwdriver to pry it out. then you can reuse them if not broken.
there is another set of clips also, which are colored white. there should be only three along the c-pillar. those are attached to the trim and should clip onto the glass.
my trim has wandered away too so i know the feeling. good luck on the fix.
