Different color valve covers

how did you get the wrinkle finish? i like it.

you can buy the paint its vht wrinkle paint you can get it online i got mine from summit but you can find it for cheep a couple of other places. you just strip the valve cover spray paint it one heavy coat then two light coats is what i did and then i stuck it in the oven for half an hour at like 250 and it wrinkles up from the heat.

here is my f22b its wrinkle red paint like a type r cover

that looks a lot better than all the other gloss red valve covers ive seen on some cars. looks like it came like that from the factory.

thanks guys ive been thinking of changing it though i found this color its like ford gray i like it alot would go good with my car

wow am i safe to assume you did this in your regular oven? or did you use a spare oven?

you can bake it, but it brings out the finish faster. could use a heat gun or heat lamp.

nahh man for some reason the paint doesnt stink as bad ass some of the others my mom didnt even notice when she walked into the house
