Just outta curiosity, was the lip sprayed the same color as the car?
Or, is it a satin black like you plan on for the mirrors?

Where do you live again? You say there's aotta yards there?

Many, many, yards here in SC. When I get home, I will post a pic of the spray that I used for the lip. It is an ACE brand indoor/outdoor can of satin black. Very cheap and durable. I didn't want glossy trim, so I went with satin. Glossy trim is too high maintenance, imo. With this, if you fck it up on a curb or a rock or whatever, it takes about 10 minutes to fix, if that. The bottom trim on the sides and back is next.

Last night I blacked out the OEM grill with the same spray as well and just left the center "H". It looks pretty sweet, very subtle and simple, but sweet..

        More pics coming soon....

The other thing with CB7's is they are everywhere. On the streets and in the yards.

BTW, I looked through your ride link, damn dude that is some crazy work. Most of the over the top stuff not really my style, but you got to respect the skills. I should have brought my car to you How long have you been doing bodywork? You know that your own shop is the way to go......

          thanks.

I agree it was over the top and my taste has changed, and i no longer like kits, but i do respect those that put the effort in to make them look oem.

As for the shop, it's in progress behind my house. not gona be hige, or high tech, but i don't want much overhead.
I'll not be quiting my job, as the discounts and free paintguns i recieve.
and the decent pay in such a small town.

your right it is a great everyday driver thats easy to fix

Blacked out oem grill shot. Was going to get an after market grill but I am good with this now...

Cheap satin spray from ACE. This stuff adhears very well. Use several coats making sure to just "spot" the area, very thin coats......4-5 minutes between each. This was used on the lip and the grill in the pic above....

Finally had a chance to drive at night last evening and these fogs really make a difference. They are now wired with the same attributes as the parking and head lights. Now I can run them as daytime running lights and they work independent of the lights on the stalk. The hard part was figuring out how to make the warning bell come on when the fogs stay on after the ignition is switched off and key removed. Finally figured it out but it was a major pain in the ass. Almost gave up a few times but it now works like a charm. Now if any exterior lights are left on (parking, fogs, headlights) after the key is removed, the bell sounds off.

I would be very interested to see exactly how you wired up your fogs.

your wiring, is something that makes your car unique. and it's always the little things that people don't notice, that make the biggest difference. awsome job on having the patience to do it.
