3M Dry Carbon Fiber Vinyl...where to buy?

Ok, I've looked for months trying to find an online store that sells the 3M Dry Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap. I have read tons of threads across the internet of installation DIY's and no one seems to know where to buy this stuff. The OP's wont give any details on their purchase, just how they installed the vinyl.

    So...

If any knows the secret on where to find this stuff, please please post up

This guy is a private vendor in this forum, but I'm just looking for a site that sells it by the sq ft.

If it is made by 3M then contact them directly. I've also heard of it being on ebay.

Yeah I've checked Ebay, there are tons of carbon fiber vinyls out there. Most look shiny and fake. I think I'm just attracted to the "dry" look of the 3M product. Plus the 3M seems to be very high quality.

Here is a site I've frequented in the past.
          www.decalfx.com
They sell semi-real carbon vinyl that is stretchy but high gloss. I'll just wait to hear back from 3M and see what they say.

I got a response from 3M. They do not sell it on their website, the only online distributor is www.dinocfilm.com and you can't even buy it from their website, I have to call them and special order the stuff.

I read online they charge a $50 cutting fee per sq yd...that sucks So instead of purchasing a 4'x2' piece and getting fucked on the cutting charge, you can buy the whole 100' roll and avoid the charge...what would I do with 4'x100' feet of carbon fiber vinyl, lol.

The real question is how much would that cost?
I can't imagine it being cheap by any means.

they sell it on a lot of the BMW forums i'm on.

my brother in law ordered the vinyl.

my suggestion is get someone that know's how to apply tint really good. if not....good luck.

it's so hard to get no bubbles with a huge sheet of vinyl. make sure you have more then 2 people to help.

Yeah, I keep collecting ideas about the CB7 when I really start my restoration overhaul. I really like the look of the dry carbon roof, I'll have to really take my time and use a few extra hands

Well since I just ordered my bb6 cluster and have to take the dash apart anyway this will be a perfect time to attempt this. I ordered 1 yd and hope to do the dash trim and the cluster trim.

I received a free sample from www.dinocfilm.com. The 3M carbon fiber vinyl is amazing, it's the closest to real cf I've ever seen. Finally I've found what I'm looking for!!
