lol. good point. having a life time warranty on something like that would be smart. something happens to it, get it replaced for free

i have always thought that rice was trying to make your car look like its something that it isnt or doing something the wrong/janky way just because it was cheaper or easier than the correct way of doing things.

i mean obviously do what you want with your cars (and that phone does look pretty badass), but you will never see me even contemplating doing this with my car.
well sorry you think that way. "rice" doesnt have a definition anymore in the tuner world except for what others dont like or what isnt "JDM". we're not looking to track our car every day or on the weekend, so like i stated before in the thread, im noting to spend $350 on a CF hood. why should i? for me to get in a front end collision and have that $350 CF hood destroyed? insurance isnt going to cover it unless i get full coverage or some type of more expensive coverage.

everyone has some type of rice on their car. you do. you have a wire tuck. thats rice. why? because it serves no performance purpose. so therefore its rice. i have rice on my car. i painted my valve cover wrinkle bronze. its not cooling my engine bay down any better. its just for looks. so its rice. "Rice" is anything that isnt performance related thats added to the car. no disrespect to you man. i have a LOT of respect for you and your car. but not for the word "rice" in the tuner world.

to everyone else who comes in this thread, if you think this is rice, fine. stay out. dont post. theres a back button at the top of your web browser for a reason.

Laying carbon on my engine bay was in no way cheaper or easier than anything else that could be done to an engine bay.

i'd like to retract my previous statement. after thinking about it i changed my mind. i try to always say "its your car, do with it whatever you want" but i occasionally get too honda-tech-ish on certain things. i personally hate fake carbon because i have worked with carbon fiber a LOT and pretty much only look at it as a performance adder. i forgot to realize that some people like it solely for the looks. if thats all you want carbon fiber for, go right ahead and get this stuff, it makes a lot of sense.

My biggest thing is that people continue to call colored fabrics like white and silver in reference to carbon. Carbon Fiber ONLY comes in black. It is that color by nature and cannot be dyed colors. Silver and white and any other color for that matter are simply fiberglass that has been aluminized and/or dyed.

Rice still carries a true meaning. Race inspired cosmetic enhancements. Nothing that serves any purpose other than to give the appearance of performance.

Painted stock rims, a big chrome tip on stock exhaust, stickers, fake hood scoops, tiny mirrors, bright colored interior panels, cheap racing seats, colored vacuum lines, etc. As said previously, if you LIKE that look, do what you like.

Now if the car has the power to back it up, then you're just making it pretty.

This is coming from the guy with red altezza tail lights. Please refrain yourself from using the word rice.

but now "rice" is more used as an insult than its actual meaning. its just like back in slavery times when the white man called the slaves "****er". it was a demeaning name. just in times now. domestic owners called the import tuners "ricers". all just to talk trash about the small 4 cylinders.

like ive said before. no one can call anyone a "ricer" or anything on anyones car "rice" if they're car isnt like Ronald_TypeR's or Boost_Lee's. so stop calling it "rice". you might as well be calling it "****er".

majority of the wiki articles is info people put up there. i can go up there and edit or add any info i want. its doable. not everything you read on the internet is correct.
