Fitment issues?

ok i got a good question, what kind of fitment issues will i have when i try to put a entire 92 front end on my 91? i know there has to be slight differences because i have 2 corner markers one from a 91 and one from 92 and i believe the 91 is small , either way one was bigger. so let me know if yall know.

It's a 1990 CB1 with a 1992 front end.

Provided you get ALL the 9293 parts, then you're fine.

Bumper, lights, grille. That's all.

im getting the hood front bumper fenders and corner markers, my headlights are the same correct? the point being is that if there is a slight difference i wanna go with the part that will fit i dont want large half inch gaps in my body pieces.

you say headlights but they look exactly the same. is there a size issue or something

headlights/cornerlights/bumperlights/grill/bumpers are all differeint between 90-91 and 92-93. The headlights differ on each end where the corner light would go and where the grill would touch them.

fair anough, is it impossible to use the 91 headlights, because i just did the blackhoused DIY on mind and like the way they look. so im not trying to switch them. or will it just cause small fitment issues like a gap at the corner light and squeezing the grill between the headlights?

they fit, mostly its just that the face of them are shaped differently, one of the two are more... angular.

Like what Kenith said, you could use 9091 headlights with a 9293 bumper, but it wont fit nicely, since the 9293 bumper has a slight extension underneath to where the smaller 9293 grille goes.

And also, the 9293 headlights have a slight difference in geometry, the edge to where it meets the bumper+grille is more rounded, where as the 9091 is much more squarish.

so your saying there will be a nice sized gap between the bumper and the very bottom of the headlight? anyone know of any pics of a 9293 front end conversion that kept the headlights from the 9091? or maybe someone that just slapped a 9293 bumper on?

No, there wont be a gap between the bumper and headlight.

There's a thread in appearance i think, which explains the differences between 9091 and 9293.

the fenders and hood across 90-93 are the same as well as the underpinings. just get matching headlights, grill, and bumper to fit the best but if you look around closely at the rides on here you'll see that you can mix and match A LOT. it will fit, just not as factory intended.

check the differences in another thread on here. it's very minor but it's different.

I just looked at your some pics you posted and you already have a 92/93 grille, I dont know if you knew that or not.
